    Key Highlights

+ Embarrassing: WSOP had to cancel an online event due to technical difficulties, embarrassing tournament organizer GGPoker.

+ Negreanu Chase: Canadian player Daniel Negreanu continues to chase his eighth bracelet in yet another event.

+ Johns Defeats Isildur: Ian Johns denies Isildur's first WSOP bracelet at $10,000 Limit Hold'em Championship.

With over 7,500 entries in the tournament featuring a $1.7 million prize pool, the No-Limit event faced issues from the start as some participants couldn't log in and had problems with their stacks. Some had no issues logging in and continued to play.

Organizers had to pull the plug on the event, compensating all players who took part in the second day of the event with a $500 voucher for future WSOP bracelet events. Anyone who could log in was allowed to keep their accumulated prizes.

This is embarrassing for tournament organizer GGPoker, which has made a name for itself through its online poker brand. While this particular game was powered by client 888, it still reflects poorly on GGPoker.

Daniel Negreanu Chase's Glory

Canadian Daniel Negreanu wants that eighth bracelet badly. Currently sitting with seven bracelets, Negreanu needs one more to jump into sole-possession of seventh-overall on the bracelet list, and one back of sixth-overall, American Johnny Moss.

He's come close already, finishing runner-up to Ryan Bambrick at the $10,000 Omaha Hi-Lo 8 or Better Championship, a tournament he was leading heavily until the final day.

Now, Negreanu is going deep at the $400 PLOSSUS event. While this is an online event, when it comes to bracelets, they don't ask you how, but how many. If he can nab this eighth bracelet, the 50-year-old will be one step closer to greatness.

Ian Johns Upsets Isildur

By Day 2 of the $10,000 Limit Hold'em, eventual winner Ian Johns was nowhere near the top five for chips Championship, but that didn't faze a man who's already won this event in the past.

At the featured table with the field whittled down to Johns, Viktor "Isildur" Blom, and Anthony Zinno, Johns slowly built up his stack to take the lead and never looked back, taking $282,455 and denying Isildur a chance to win his first bracelet.
